One of the dilemmas (an interesting one) I faced is the material contradiction. Almost everyone desire to have an wood finished table, but one said she fancy a glass table, since she would put light underneath a glass table when she need to trace a drawing.
This is a 1:1 mock up model for proving the possibilities of backlit plus timber finished table. I used sandpaper to thinning out the timber veneer so as to let the maximum amount of light to be passed through.
